Titans hire two assistants for Mike Vrabel’s coaching staff

The Titans continue to fill out Mike Vrabel’s coaching staff.

The Tennessee Titans announced the hire of two new assistants who will work on head coach Mike Vrabel’s coaching staff during the 2021 season.

The two hires are Erik Frazier as offensive skill assistant and Jason Houghtaling as offensive line assistant.

Frazier worked as the receivers/passing game coordinator at Montana State for the past two years, but before that was a Bill Walsh Minority Intern at the training camps for three teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017, the Minnesota Vikings in 2018 and the New York Giants in 2019.

Frazier’s stint with the Vikings in 2018 overlapped with new Titans offensive coordinator Todd Downing’s tenure there as the team’s tight ends coach.

Houghtaling has spent time on the coaching staffs of numerous colleges since 2006, including being the head coach at Wagner for five seasons and offensive coordinator at Cornell in 2013.

In 2020, Houghtaling was the offensive line coach for Colgate. This is his first coaching job in the NFL.
