Super Bowl LV is in the books, but the oddsmakers at BetMGM are already hard at work in surveying the field for next year’s Super Bowl LVI. And they like what they see, with plenty of title contenders in both conferences.
That includes the New Orleans Saints, who have 18/1 odds of winning the 2021 championship. They’re ranked 8th overall at BetMGM and 5th within their conference, behind the Green Bay Packers, reigning-champ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (given a 10/1 shot at a repeat), Matthew Stafford’s Los Angeles Rams, and the San Francisco 49ers. The Seattle Seahawks are trailing New Orleans closely.
But this is with Drew Brees still on the roster and, for now, the projected starting quarterback in New Orleans. If he retires as is expected, there’s no telling how the Saints’ Super Bowl odds may drop. However, whether Taysom Hill, Jameis Winston, or someone else steps in, expectations remain the same: this roster is bigger than Brees or any other quarterback, and winning a Super Bowl title should remain their focus.
