For some reason, some have debated whether or not Tom Brady is the greatest of all time in the NFL. In case there was any doubt, Brady absolutely shattered all and any arguments that some may have.
First, it was the debate of who was responsible for the success in New England — Brady or head coach Bill Belichick? Then, with Brady with a new team for the first time in Tampa Bay, those questions amplified, especially with the Buccaneers getting out to a 7-5 start.
But Brady put those questions to rest, winning his seventh Super Bowl, this time against the vaunted Kansas City Chiefs. And while the Bucs defense was stellar, Brady was the single best player on the field, as exemplified by his fifth Super Bowl MVP award.
Yes, Brady now has seven Super Bowl rings and has now added his fifth Super Bowl MVP award after winning LV.
So, while haters of his NFL career and those who don’t want to give the former Michigan football QB the credit will still attempt to detract, there’s no question who the G.O.A.T. is.
It’s the man who once wore No. 10 in Ann Arbor and No. 12 with the New England Patriots and now Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Also of note: Tampa Bay didn’t reach the playoffs in the 14 years prior to Brady’s arrival. But, in his first year with a new team, the Bucs didn’t just make the playoffs, they won it all.
In Super Bowl LV, Brady went 21-for-29 for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns.
