It was a day to forget for the Wisconsin Badgers as they couldn’t connect from deep, got manhandled on the glass and lost to the Illinois Fighting Illini 75-60.
The result now moves Greg Gard’s team to 8-5 in Big Ten play, a full four losses clear of the first-place Michigan Wolverines. And with a game against Michigan, two against Iowa, one more against Illinois and one against Purdue still remaining, a lot will need to go right for the Badgers to rise back to the top of the conference.

Well, winning the rebound battle by 26, holding the Badgers to 4-24 from three and dominating inside on both sides of the court ended up leading to a pretty easy victory for the Illini.
