Ja’Marr Chase to the Cincinnati Bengals via the fifth pick of the 2021 NFL draft is one of the most popular ideas out there during the opening stretches of draft season.
Steve Palazzolo of Pro Football Focus just dove into why the move makes sense:
“You don’t want to go into the season with just Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd. They’re both good complimentary pieces. Having a third piece though, which they didn’t have this year. They had it in name only with A.J. Green. … Joe Burrow’s life is a lot better.”
It’s hard to argue with the logic there and it’s part of what we’ve said in the past, both about Chase and when it comes to potentially drafting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.
Of course, it sure helps that Joe Burrow himself has said he’d love a reunion with Chase after their epic performances together at LSU.

The Bengals being in a position to make a luxury pick like Chase will hinge on whether the team shores up the offensive line problems in free agency.
