The #Eagles are getting trade calls centered around QB Carson Wentz. And while Philly doesn’t plan to deal him, they haven’t hung up the phone, either.

If the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase had their way, Pittsburgh would have a very crowded quarterback room in 2021. Every time an NFL quarterback becomes available per rumors, he’s the next guy the Steelers need to trade for to replace Ben Roethlisberger.
The latest is Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. As soon as it was reported by NFL reporter Ian Rapoport that Philadelphia was taking calls, Steelers fans wondered if Wentz would be a good fit with the Steelers.
The reality is the Steelers don’t really have any interest or the capability to make any blockbuster trades. Not for Deshaun Watson. Not for Derek Carr. And not for Carson Wentz. Pittsburgh is going to go forward with Roethlisberger in 2021 and see what they have in Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins. If it doesn’t work at the end of season, then the Steelers will set a plan into motion.
