Brett Favre, the man who spent the end of his career by having the most dramatic and drawn-out decision-making processes about whether he would return to football or not and once forced the Green Bay Packers to trade him, is apparently not a fan of other players trying to do what they want with their careers.
I’m talking specifically about Deshaun Watson, who recently told the Texans that he would like to be traded.
Favre had this to say about Watson during an interview with Yahoo Sports on Wednesday:
“You get paid a ton of money to do a certain job, and just do it, and let the chips fall where they may. I think we make too much money to voice an opinion, but I’m not saying he’s wrong. Again, I think it’s a different day and time, and it’ll be interesting to see how the organization handles it.”

Yeah, that’s a very awful take from the former Packers/Vikings/Jets QB, no matter how he tried to save it with the “I’m not saying he’s wrong” part.
Twitter rightly ripped him for it:
Remember when Brett publicly complained about Javon Walker holding out and he returned to the team and blew out his knee before getting paid?
Don't ever listen to Brett Favre. https://t.co/al6qeyLPzd

LOL
And did Brett Favre have any thoughts on (Packers 2x retiree/Jets star/Vikes star) Brett Favre? https://t.co/nEb9ZCUgVs— Dave Dameshek (@Dameshek) February 4, 2021
I’m a little confused here. Didn’t Favre basically tell his team that he’d decide when/if he was going come back from Mississippi on his own time … every year? https://t.co/HPRg9MB2k5

Brett Favre fake retired for 7 consecutive seasons and did everything imaginable to find his way to a divisional rival. https://t.co/9rfqEX2bGz

That’s probably enough from Brett Favre this millennium pic.twitter.com/OAcVsBdTKC

Quarterback who once tried to force a trade from Green Bay to Minnesota seems to think Deshaun Watson shouldn't try to force a trade https://t.co/2p6liHAqZ2
