Current Detroit Lions and former New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola hasn’t held back in the past while talking about his former coach, Bill Belichick.
In 2018, he used an expletive to say what Belichick was like “sometimes,” and added, “There were a lot of things I didn’t like about playing for him, but I must say, the things I didn’t like were all in regards to getting the team better, and I respected him.”
A lot of honesty there.
On Monday, he appeared on FS1’s First Things First and delivered something both honest and fiery that sure sounded like a shot taken at Belichick:
"When you see the 'Patriot Way' in the dictionary, it’s got Tom Brady’s picture next to it. None of those coaches caught any passes. … Tom Brady is the 'Patriot Way.' That’s why he’s in the Super Bowl & the Patriots aren’t." — @DannyAmendola pic.twitter.com/XtVd0ntJPc

OK! Guess he’s Team Brady here!
But let’s all remember — as our Steven Ruiz recently pointed out, Bill and Tom needed each other to win all those titles, and the Brady going into the Super Bowl this week just happens to have a great defense and superior receivers. Is that really an example of the “Patriot Way” getting Brady to another Super Bowl and not the Pats?
