Davis Bertans learned a valuable lesson on Sunday. The Washington Wizards sharpshooter tried to contest Kevin Durant at the rim in second quarter of the Brooklyn Nets’ visit to Capital One Arena on Sunday. Bertans was not successful in his attempt, instead Brooklyn’s star forward posterized Washington’s sharpshooter.
By the games midway point, Durant already had 21 points to his name, playing a big part in Brooklyn’s ridiculous opening half. The Nets score 71 points through the first two quarters on 57.8% shooting (45% from 3-point range). But of course, there were only two points everyone wanted to talk about heading into halftime: the ones Durant got when challenged by Bertans.
