LaMelo Ball has been an absolute highlight machine with the Charlotte Hornets this season.
Normally, everyone is fawning over his incredible passes, and rightfully so. When he gets deep into his passing back we get a ton of no-looks and crazy lobs that look like they have no business being thrown until they turn into buckets.
But he’s also an incredible athlete, too. He can dunk with the best of them at 6’10. He showed that last night with an incredible putback dunk against the Indiana Pacers.
But as incredible as the dunk was — and don’t get me wrong, it WAS incredible — the call Hornets play-by-play man Eric Collins gave may have been even better.
Take a listen.

“Oh. My goodness. Didn’t see that coming. Humdidalydee!”
Y’all. Now, that’s how you’re supposed to call a dunk. That’s excitement about the game.
This man said, and I quote, “Humdidalydee.” I’m not even sure that’s spelled correctly. But Collins said that. On live television. After an absolutely spectacularly putback dunk.
That’s incredible. What a call. What a dunk. What a moment. Sounds like we all need to tune in to more Hornets broadcasts.
