Injury Report
Kris Dunn (ankle) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) are out for the Hawks. Cam Reddish (right quad contusion) and Rajon Rondo (left ankle sprain) are questionable. Onyeka Okongwu (left Achilles soreness) and Clint Capela (right hand soreness) are probable.
Ish Smith, Troy Brown Jr. and Deni Avdija are out for Washington due to the NBA’s health and safety protocol. Thomas Bryant is also out (ACL).
Advice and prediction
This line is puzzling to me. The Wizards haven’t come close to covering in their last three games, and they’re facing a competent Hawks team that has been boosted by the recent return Danilo Gallinari. Yes, Bradley Beal has been cooking offensively – but even with his 47-point eruption against the Pelicans, the Wizards gave up 124 points and lost by 18. This is a matchup of the second-worst defense in the league (Washington) against a top-10 defense by defensive rating (Atlanta). The Hawks are better in every category. This spread should likely be double what it is. Take Atlanta -3.5.
Prediction: Hawks 122, Wizards 114
