The Kansas City Chiefs are giving the fans what they want for Super Bowl LV.
The Chiefs Kingdom has been begging for the team to bring back the gold end zones during the playoffs. They hadn’t brought back the ones they had used last season, because those were meant to commemorate the NFL’s 100th season and the team’s 60th season. They were designed after the old end zones at Municipal Stadium and they’ve been a fan favorite ever since they were revealed.
Well, the Chiefs’ head turf manager, Travis Hogan, is already out in Tampa, Florida working on Super Bowl LV’s field at Raymond James Stadium. He’s working alongside legendary NFL groundskeeper George Toma, who prepares the field for every Super Bowl.
Got home at 11, finished packing, and flying out this morning for Tampa. Excited to hang out with George for a couple weeks, work with some great people from around the NFL, and most of all paint the Arrowhead in the Chiefs end zone! #RunItBack pic.twitter.com/UxVxDpYcUL

Hogan and Toma have already begun painting the end zones for Super Bowl LV, one for the home team and one for the away team. It appears the Chiefs are bringing back the same gold end zone design that they had at Hard Rock Stadium in Super Bowl LIV.
WDAF-TV’s Rob Zerwekh spotted an under-construction view of the gold end zones from a news chopper. Check it out:

That definitely looks like the same design and color scheme that the Chiefs went with at Hard Rock Stadium during the Super Bowl last year. You can check the picture in Hogan’s tweet above for reference.
We’ll be sure to update you with a finished product as soon as it has been revealed.
