Lakers at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Lakers 114, Pistons 109
Money line (ML)
Coming off a last-second loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Lakers are huge money line favorites against the Pistons. Both teams lost Wednesday night.
The Lakers should win as they are 10-1 on the road but there just isn’t enough value on the money line to pick them. PASS in favor of the point spread.
Against the spread (ATS)
The PISTONS +7.5 (-115) have lost five of their last six games but can they keep this game within double-digits Thursday? That doesn’t too unlikely as the Lakers have a tendency to sleepwalk and play down to their competition most nights. While they usually find ways to win, they don’t always cover and 9.5 points feels like too big of a margin in this one.
Take Detroit to stay within 7 points.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 213.5 (-110) feels like the smart play in this matchup as both teams average at least 109 points per game. The Lakers currently are the No. 7 scoring offense in the NBA, averaging 113.9 points per game. Detroit scores 109.4 PPG, but its offense has been better of late.
