I’m sitting here trying to recall a time this season in which Maxx Crosby even appeared on the injury report. I can’t recall that happening. He certainly didn’t miss any games. And yet here he is with a cast on his right hand and his left arm in a sling. Repairing injuries he says he played with at least part of this season.

Crosby told me that he has been dealing with both injuries most of the season. He estimated that the hand injury occurred in week five while the shoulder injury was something that simply “got worse and worse” as the season went on, adding that he “Didn’t truly know about severity of shoulder but it was weak and I aggravated it a few time during the year.”

You’d think there would have been some indication of when those injuries happened based on his snaps or his play, but Crosby didn’t let it stop him and he had three sacks and five QB hits between weeks five and nine. He would end up playing 898 snaps on the season, second only to JJ Watt (1009) among defensive linemen.
