Late in the second quarter on Wednesday, Lonzo Ball exited the game for the Pelicans with an apparent leg injury. After navigating a screen defensively, Ball planted his foot and came up limp, though it’s hard to tell where the injury came exactly.
The injury did not stop him from subsequently throwing a full-court pass on a dime to Zion Williamson for a layup, though Ball quickly exited the game after that and headed straight for the locker room.
Here's the play Lonzo got injured. Not sure if it's an ankle or knee or something else. Naturally, it didn't stop him from throwing a 70-foot pass on the money pic.twitter.com/8JlTMT1nni

At halftime, the Pelicans announced Ball was questionable to return with an ankle injury.
Earlier in the season, Ball missed three games with bilateral knee tendinopathy, an injury that he said had existed since the beginning of the season but he was able to play through initially.
