Coming off a successful fall season, the University of Tennessee men’s golf team is preparing to play its spring schedule as it gets underway next month.
The Volunteers begin the spring portion of their schedule on Feb. 12 at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville, Florida. The 3-day event will be played at the par-70 Mark Bostick Golf Course. The course is 6,701 yards long and is celebrating its 100th year of operation.
On Feb. 26, the Vols will compete in the LSU Invitational at the par-72 University Club Golf Course in Baton Rouge.
On March 15, the Big Orange will play in the Tiger Invitational, which is hosted by Auburn in Opelika, Alabama.
The Vols will head to Mississippi to play in the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship in West Point. The Old Waverly Golf Course opened in 1988 and was designed by U.S. Open champion Jerry Pate and hosted the U.S. Women’s Open in 1999.
On April 5, the Vols will play at the Shoal Creek Invitational in Alabama. The Shoal Creek Golf Course opened in 1977 and was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Tennessee will play in the SEC championship. That tournament will begin on April 21 and will be held in Simon’s Island, Ga.
