Joel Embid, Sixers ranked 4th in latest Power Rankings after a 3-0 week

The Philadelphia 76ers have come in ranked fourth in the latest NBA Power Rankings.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the middle of playing some good basketball as they have gotten some players back from injury and the league’s health and safety protocols. The help combined with the stellar play of Joel Embiid had the Sixers finish up a 3-0 week as they continue to grow as a team.

Two of those wins included home wins over the rival Boston Celtics at home where Embiid made big statements in both games and then a win over a scrappy Detroit Pistons team on Saturday. Ben Simmons also played a big factor in all three wins as well as the return of sharpshooter Seth Curry.

In the latest Power Rankings performed by our sister site Rookie Wire, they have the Sixers ranked fourth in the league:

The Sixers are seemingly fully healthy for the first time in weeks and their recent play reflects that. The group has won three straight, including two wins over the Celtics. With another matchup against the Pistons on Monday, that winning streak should reach four with no problems.

After facing the Pistons on Monday, they face a big step up in competition with a matchup with the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday back at home.
