The Kansas City Chiefs are heading to their second straight Super Bowl after Sunday’s AFC Championship Game win over the Buffalo Bills.
It was a game in which the Chiefs thoroughly outplayed the Bills, and in the quarterback battle, Patrick Mahomes came away looking a level above Josh Allen.
But, of course, the reigning Super Bowl MVP took notice to a perceived slight from ESPN’s Matt Hasselbeck.
Ahead of the game, Hasselbeck gave Allen the edge over Mahomes in the head-to-head quarterback matchup, saying that Allen had proven to be the better quarterback over the past six games. There was even a “Tale of the Tape” graphic that gave the Bills the nod at both quarterback and receiver.

"In the last six games, Josh Allen has been hotter than anybody. He has a better QBR than Mahomes, better completion percentage, more touchdown passes… and there is an intangible Allen is bringing right now." – @Hasselbeck pic.twitter.com/yq1ROff1t6

Well, following the Chiefs’ 38-24 win, Mahomes was alerted to that graphic and offered his own response. He yawned at ESPN.

Mahomes wasn’t alone in roasting that graphic — much of NFL Twitter piled on.

Stop mocking this graphic. It is accurate. Chiefs have the larger head coach. Bills have the larger quarterback. Etc https://t.co/b5GlNZuFq0

Don’t give Mahomes bulletin-board material. It won’t end well.
