Wide receiver Jauan Jennings played for former Tennessee head coach Jeremy Pruitt during the 2018-19 seasons.

Pruitt was relieved of his duties Monday with cause.

Jennings responded to Pruitt’s firing on Instagram. Jennings’ response came via an Instagram story.

“The best coach that brought the best coaching staff to Tennessee,” Jennings said. “It’s a shame how people can turn on you so quick. Only wanted to help the kids didn’t matter if you were a walk on or not. Wishing you the best coach Pruitt.”

Jennings played in 50 games at Tennessee, totaling 146 receptions for 2,153 yards and 18 touchdowns through the air.
