Michael Brockers is the longest-tenured Rams position player, spending the last nine years in St. Louis and Los Angeles. In that time, he’s become one of the most important leaders on the field and in the locker room.
He showed that leadership on Saturday against the Green Bay Packers in the team’s season-ending loss at Lambeau Field. He was mic’d up for the game and not only did he give a fiery pregame speech in the Rams’ huddle, but he also had a message for his teammates on defense as the game was winding down.
He told Sebastian Joseph-Day, “let this eat at your soul. … Let’s work out, get better next year.”
Leonard Floyd could also be heard saying, “I ain’t got no regrets. I love playing with y’all.” Brockers is under contract next year, but this may have been Floyd’s last game with the Rams as he approaches free agency.
