Vols to face former Bearden star Ques Glover

Vols to face former Bearden star Ques Glover Tuesday.

When the University of Tennessee men’s basketball team travels to Florida for a Southeastern Conference basketball game, it will face a former Knoxville area high school star.

Ques Glover, a sophomore for the Gators, was a point guard for Bearden High School during his prep days.

In Knoxville with the Bulldogs, Glover teamed with current Vol Drew Pember to lead Bearden to a 2019 TSSAA Class AAA state championship. The Bulldogs notched a comeback victory over Memphis East, a team which featured Golden State rookie James Wiseman.

Glover has played in nine games for Florida and is averaging 2.2 points, 0.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists this season.

Last year for the Gators, Glover was the 2019 state tournament’s Most Valuable Player. He appeared in 31 games for the Gators, averaging 4.4 points per game and posted double figures in the scoring column four times.
