For most New England Patriots fans, it was hard to hold in the excitement from Tom Brady’s playoff victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night.
Brady, who spent 20 years as a Patriot, carved up the Saints’ defense in the most important moments to walk away with a 30-20 victory. It felt like a vintage Brady moment and it was a joy to watch. Now, the 43-year-old is heading to his 14th conference championship in a much-anticipated matchup agains the Green Bay Packers.
The only issue for Patriots fans was — the Patriots aren’t in the playoffs. For the first time since 2008, New England missed the playoffs after finishing the season with a subpar 7-9 record.
Stephon Gilmore was speaking for every Patriots fan with his simple and honest tweet.
Miss playoff football

Gilmore, 31, has one year remaining on his contract and his future with the Patriots is unclear at the moment. Bill Belichick has an enormous amount of work ahead of him and Gilmore could be used as a valuable trade piece.
However things shake out, Patriots fans are just hoping Belichick can get this team back in gear for the 2021 season.
