More than a few people have weighed in on the Brooklyn Nets’ acquisition of superstar guard James Harden. ESPN’s Jay Williams went so far as to say Brooklyn has the best super team in NBA history — which seems like a rather bold statement, as impressive as the trio of Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving looks on paper.
But it’s a little different when all-time NBA legends offer their opinion on anything basketball-related — so it was impossible to ignore Magic Johnson’s tweet in response to the move:
James Harden getting traded to the Brooklyn Nets to join KD and Kyrie will be special to watch… but I’m still picking the @Lakers to win the Championship
While the Nets (+300) have much better odds to win it all on BetMGM Sportsbook following the Harden move, the Johnson’s Lakers (+250) remain the betting favorite.
