James Harden got his wish.
His time with the Rockets has come to an end. He is leaving Houston and heading to Brooklyn. The Nets acquired their third superstar in a four-team trade, per ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne.
Shams Charania of The Athletic was the first to report Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen were part of the deal, but it was ESPN that revealed LeVert is on his way to Houston with Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, four first-round picks and four Nets pick swaps, whereas Allen and Taurean Prince are headed to Cleveland.
But LeVert is not staying in Houston, according to The Athletic. Shortly after the deal was announced, Charania reported LeVert is on his way to Indiana in exchange for Pacers star guard Victor Oladipo.
According to Wojnarowski, three of the first-round picks going to Houston are from the Nets, all of which are unprotected (2022, 2024 and 2026). The picks swaps are for 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027.
