James Harden seemed to say farewell to the Rockets after Tuesday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Then on Wednesday afternoon the franchise said farewell to him as they officially traded the star guard to the Brooklyn Nets for a ton of first-round picks. Oh, and they also used a piece of that trade to get Victor Oladipo from the Pacers.
Not a bad little day for the Rockets, all things considered.
Well, shortly after the trade NBA fans found an old tweet from Harden from way back in 2017 in which he promised a fan that he would never leave Houston and that he would be a “#Rocket4Life.”
Here’s the tweet:
Promise I won't. #Rocket4Life
