On Wednesday night, the No. 4 Texas Longhorns will host the No. 15 Texas Tech Red Raiders at the Frank Erwin Center.
This will mark the first game between the two schools since they were pulled off the floor during pregame routines in the Big 12 Tournament back in March. Due to the growing concerns of COVID-19, the conference tournament and NCAA Tournament was canceled. Now, they will face head-to-head in a Big 12 showdown.
The Longhorns are 10-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play. In the last contest, Texas needed a come from behind effort including a 7-0 run to close out the West Virginia game to steal the win. The Red Raiders dominated an Iowa State Cyclones team that played Texas close. Tech is 10-3 overall and 3-2 in Big 12 play. Their two losses are by a combined six points to Kansas and Oklahoma State. Can the Red Raiders hand the Longhorns their first conference defeat on the season?
