The 2020 college football season came to a bit of an anticlimactic end on Monday night. In the National Championship, Alabama dominated Ohio State, 52-24, to capture its 18th national title. With the season in the books, the Associated Press released its final poll for the 2020 season.
Unsurprisingly, the poll wasn’t particularly kind to Florida. A shorthanded Gators team suffered an embarrassing 55-20 loss in the Cotton Bowl at the hands of Oklahoma, and as a result, it took a dive in the rankings.
UF entered bowl season ranked No. 10 in the AP Poll (well below their No. 7 ranking in the College Football Playoff Rankings), and with the loss to the Sooners, it has now dropped to No. 13 in the final poll.
With a final record of 8-4, the Gators rank below three conference rivals: No. 7 Georgia, No. 4 Texas A&M and No. 1 Alabama. Here’s the full final poll.
