Watch: Ravens CB Marcus Peters intercepts Ryan Tannehill to end Titans’ chances

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters came up clutch at the right time, picking off Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill to win

The Baltimore Ravens won their first playoff game of the Lamar Jackson era, beating the Tennessee Titans in the wild-card round of the AFC playoffs. And it was Baltimore’s defense that came up with the clutch play when needed.

Tennessee entered the final two minutes down by seven points and were driving. But on second-and-five from their own 37-yard line, Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a pass to wide receiver Kalif Raymond. Unfortunately for Tannehill, Raymond slipped, seeing the ball go right into cornerback Marcus Peters’ hands, who returned it 13 yards.

It was at that point Baltimore ran out onto the field both to celebrate with Peters but to stomp all over Tennessee’s mid-field logo just as they had done in the last two meetings.

This big play was one Baltimore knew they likely needed going into a game against a team that doesn’t turn the ball over often. It came at exactly the right moment and effectively sealed the Titans’ fate. The Ravens would pick up two first downs on their drive, grinding down the clock and picking up a critical playoff win.
