Kevin Durant’s quarantine (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) has officially come to an end. After missing three games, Durant will be able to suit up again for the Brooklyn Nets as they welcome his and Jeff Green’s old team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, to Barclays Center for a 6 p.m. tip on Sunday.
But while the Nets will get their best player back on Sunday, Brooklyn’s No. 2, Kyrie Irving, remains unavailable due to personal reasons. He was ruled out for the third game in a row on Sunday.
Durant last played for the Nets when the Washington Wizards visited Brooklyn on January 3. While the Nets lost the game 123-122, Durant scored 28 points on 8-for-15 shooting — though, one of those seven misses was the final shot of the game. Durant also had 11 rebounds and seven assists against Russell Westbrook and company.
Through six games played this season, Durant is averaging 28.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.
