Wizards vs. Celtics: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks

Our prediction and best bet for Friday’s Wizards-Celtics game.

The short-handed Boston Celtics host the Washington Wizards on Friday night, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, moneyline odds and over-under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet on BetMGM.

The game tips off at 7:30 and can be seen on NBC Sports Boston and NBC Sports Washington.

The Celtics are facing serious COVID-19 issues after Robert Williams tested positive for the virus, per ESPN. Williams is out on Friday, as are Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams, who have been ruled out due to contact tracing. The Celtics are still without Kemba Walker and Romeo Langford, and Jeff Teague is questionable with an ankle injury. The Wizards are fully healthy entering Friday’s game.

Advice and prediction

The Celtics are on a three-game winning streak, but will be missing significant size and depth, with Daniel Theis and Tacko Fall as the only healthy big men remaining. The Wizards, meanwhile, have won two of three, and Bradley Beal is coming off a career-high 60 point game against the 76ers. This line opened at Celtics -5.5 and hasn’t yet shifted, so I’d place a small bet on Wizards +5.5 while you can.

It’s difficult to project how the Celtics’ depth issues could affect their performance against the Wizards’ terrible defense, but I’d stay away from a bet on the total given that it’s so high.

Prediction: Wizards 125, Celtics 118
