If the Texans wanted to trade Deshaun Watson, could the Steelers even afford it?

There’s a rumor going around that Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson might request a trade in the offseason. Watson was the one bright spot on an underperforming Texans team and despite the lack of talent around him led the league in passing with 4,823 yards.

First off, the odds the Texans are really going to trade their franchise quarterback in the prime of his career are almost impossible. Nevertheless, the Pittsburgh Steelers are a team that will soon be in need of a quarterback so we have to ask, how much would you give for Watson?

Looking at big trades, This past summer the New York Jets traded talented young safety Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks it cost the Seahawks two first-round picks. One of the best young quarterbacks in the league could command twice that.

If you were the Steelers general manager, do you completely sell out with four first-round picks for Watson? Personally, I think the price is way too steep and it will keep him from being traded to anyone. But leave a comment and let us know if you’d mortgage the future for Watson.
