Three former University of Tennessee basketball players were in action during NBA games Wednesday night.
All three made significant contributions in their respective team’s victories on the hardwood.
In Philadelphia, forward Tobias Harris scored 19 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out three assists in the 76ers’, 141-136, victory over the Washington Wizards.
With the win, the Sixers improved to 7-1 on the season.
In Orlando, Jordan Bone appeared for the third time this season.
Bone is a two-way player who looks to split time between Orlando and the Lakeland Magic, the team’s NBA G-League affiliate. He played a season-high 12 minutes in Orlando’s, 105-94, victory at the Amway Center.
Bone scored seven points, grabbed three rebounds and had one assist in the win that helped the Magic improve to 6-2 on the season.
Grant Williams had five points, six rebounds and an assist to lift Boston to a 107-105 victory on the road at Miami.
Williams played a season-high 28 minutes in Boston’s third consecutive victory. The Celtics (6-3) have won five of their last six games.
