The LSU Tigers will have a new defensive coordinator in 2021.
Fortunately for that new coordinator, he is stepping into a fantastic situation as the Tigers will return all four of the starting defensive linemen from 2020.
On Monday, senior defensive tackle Glen Logan made his return official.
The 6-foot-3, 339-pound Logan recently completed his senior season but will use the extra year of eligibility the NCAA granted all fall athletes due to the COVID-19 pandemic and return to Baton Rouge for 2021.

In former defensive coordinator Dave Aranda’s 3-4 scheme, Logan lined up as a defensive end. In Bo Pelini’s one year at LSU, Logan played defensive tackle. He started eight games in 2020.
Logan is now the sixth LSU player to announce he is returning in 2021, four of which are on the defensive line, including Andre Anthony, Ali Gaye and Neil Farrell.
After some chaos late in the season, head coach Ed Orgeron has to be pleased with how his 2021 roster is shaping up. Not only has LSU signed a strong recruiting class, but the Tigers have retained their entire defensive line and at least four starters along the offensive line.
LSU’s next defensive coordinator will have an exciting blend of experience and youth on the defensive line in 2021.
