Former University of Tennessee basketball player Grant Williams posted a solid performance for the Boston Celtics in a victory Friday night.
Williams, a power forward and 2019 first-round draft pick, scored 14 points and pulled down six rebounds in Boston’s, 126-114, victory over the Raptors in Toronto.
The 14 points were a season-high for Williams, who went 5-for-9 from the floor.
Williams is averaging 5.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.7 assists for the Celtics in seven games this season. He did not play in Boston’s 122-120 victory over Detroit on Jan. 3.
Williams left UT after his junior season in 2019 as the two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.
