Welcome to a Tuesday edition of Gators News and boy-oh-boy we could not be more excited that the college basketball season is now in full swing. In today’s update, we have a preview of tonight’s men’s basketball matchup between the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Gators will travel to Tuscaloosa to play in Coleman Coliseum with a tip off time set at 7 p.m. EST. ‘Bama is coming off a huge road win against the then sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers — the preseason favorites to win the Southeastern Conference — and will be riding high upon return to their home confines.
Florida is undefeated in two games — both SEC matchups — since losing star forward Keyontae Johnson against the Florida State Seminoles on Dec. 12. The team has done an admirable job fulling his empty shoes so far and will look to keep the trend going tonight. Keep an eye out for Colin Castleton, who has scored 20-plus points in both of the last two games, which were also games he started in.
You can watch the game on ESPN2, livestream it on the ESPN app or listen on the radio on Gators Sports Network / XM 192.
