The Tennessee Titans’ 41-38 win over the Houston Texans shouldn’t have been nearly as close as it was, considering they entered the game at 10-5 in comparison to Houston, which came in with a dismal 4-11 overall record.

But it was a solid day for the Titans’ offense as running back Derrick Henry became the eighth rusher in NFL history to hit the 2,000-yard mark in a single season.

He came into the game needing 223 yards on the ground to reach it and had surpassed the milestone in the fourth quarter, ultimately finishing the game with 250 rushing yards, a new career-high.

The last back to reach 2,000 yards was Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings, who rushed for 2,097 yards in 2012.

On the same day, star wide receiver AJ Brown hit the 1,000-yard mark, another accomplishment of note for the Titans in what was their biggest win of the 2020 campaign that helped them clinch the AFC South title.

Here’s a look at what Twitter had to say about Henry’s accomplishment.
