The New England Patriots have been looking for any way to get some points on offense this season. And, for the second time this season, they turned to Jakobi Meyers to get some firepower through the air.
Cam Newton handed the ball off to Sony Michel going to the left side of the line, where Michel would pitch back to Meyers. Meyers was able to hit Newton in stride for a touchdown that would lead to a 14-14 tie game with just over two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
Meyers has yet to catch a touchdown in the NFL, but he’s now thrown two.

This play was perfectly executed. Hopefully, we see more of Meyers’ arm in select spots next season. Nothing excites a live crowd quite like a passing touchdown from a wide receiver.
