The Atlanta Falcons fired former head coach Dan Quinn back in Week 5 and promoted defensive coordinator Raheem Morris to interim coach for the previous ten games.
Since taking over for Quinn, Morris has gone 4-6 and according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the team will formerly interview him for the full-time position on New Years Day.

Morris was formerly the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2009-2011, taking over when he was just 34 years old after the team fired Jon Gruden. During his time as head coach of the Bucs, Morris had an overall record of 17-31, with a 10-6 season in 2010.
The Falcons have one game remaining, an NFC South matchup against Morris’ former team. Atlanta lost a heart-breaker to Tampa Bay two weeks ago, and a victory in Week 17 would help Morris’ case to be the team’s full-time head coach in 2021.
