NFL fans rightly crushed the refs for this terrible call that ended the Eagles’ season

How was this ruled a fumble?

The Eagles were driving down the field late in Sunday’s game with the rival Cowboys looking to score a TD and make it a one-possession game with a few minutes left in the fourth quarter when the refs stepped in and stole the game from them and basically ended Philadelphia’s season.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who had another pretty good game, ran out of the pocket on a first-and-10 from the Cowboys’ 18-yard line. He was then tackled by two Dallas defenders and the ball the popped out of his hands after it looked like his knees hit the turf.

Somehow this was called a fumble, which was recovered by Dallas:

The play was even reviewed but the call stood and the Cowboys then went on to put the game away.
