Say what you will about the play of Jared Goff, but his toughness can’t be questioned. He’s as durable as any quarterback in the league despite being hit often throughout his career, never missing a game due to injury.
His toughness was on full display Sunday against the Seahawks after he injured his thumb in the fourth quarter. On a follow-through, Goff hit his hand on a Seahawks player’s helmet. He stayed in the game, and between plays, he popped his right thumb back into place on his own.
Twitter understandably couldn’t believe he actually did it. Here’s the video, though it is not for those with weak stomachs.
Jared Goff hit his thumb, dislocated it, popped it back in and didn't miss a play…. 🤢

That was honestly a pretty badass moment for Goff with the thumb and the popping and the what have you.

Goff really popped his own thumb back in place on the field and continued playing

Goff’s thumb though… I’ll give him credit here, dude just doesn’t come out of games because of injury.

Like him or not (and it’s mostly not these days) Goff is a tough SOB.

Goff’s thumb looked pretty unnatural there.
