The Jets and Browns have been cleared for kickoff despite Cleveland losing several players to close COVID-19 contact, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Browns announced that they have placed WR Rashard Higgins, WR KhaDarel Hodge, WR Jarvis Landry, WR Donovan Peoples-Jones & LB Jacob Phillips on the reserve/COVID-19 list. All are out against the Jets.
Cleveland elevated (Contagious Disease Addendum) WR Ja’Marcus Bradley, LB Montrel Meander and WR Derrick Willies from its practice squad.

The Week 16 matchup between the Jets and Browns is still on as of now, but Cleveland could be down multiple wide receivers, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen.
Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins and Donovan People-Jones were deemed high-risk-close-contacts. The Browns could be without all three on Sunday as they await further instructions.
In addition, Cleveland also placed WR KhaDarel Hodge and LB Jacob Phillips on the reserve/COVID-19 list, per Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot. Both will miss Sunday’s game.
The Cleveland Browns have delayed their flight to New Jersey ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jets after one of their players tested positive for COVID-19.
Contract tracing is underway and Cleveland has closed its training facility. The team will hold meetings remotely.

The Jets and Browns are scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. No announcements have been made regarding the game’s status at this time.
