LaMelo Ball rebounded from a disappointing opening game of the season with a fast start on Saturday at home against the Thunder. Ball scored nine points in the first quarter, including a pair of three-pointers.
Ball’s first points came at the free throw line while his first field goal in the league was a coast-to-coast lay-up on the very next possession. Ball’s first three-pointer capped off a flurry of baskets in his opening minutes in the game.
All 13 of Ball’s points would come in the first half as he played sparingly in the second half and particularly in the fourth quarter. Still, Ball finished an efficient 5-of-10 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point territory. He also added six rebounds, one assist and one steal.
