Browns lose 4 receivers, including Jarvis Landry, due to possible COVID-19 exposure

This is a scary (and tough) moment for the Cleveland Browns.

It appears that the Cleveland Browns will be missing four wide receivers, including star Jarvis Landry, for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets due to possible exposure to COVID-19.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that a “group” of receivers had been deemed “High-Risk-Close-Contacts” and the team was waiting to find out how many, exactly, would be held out for the game.

Shortly thereafter, the Browns placed four receivers on the COVID-19 reserve list: Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Donovan Peoples-Jones and KhaDarel Hodge. Cleveland linebacker Jacob Phillip was also placed on the list.

The Jets team is coming off its lone win of the season.

To fill out the roster for the game, Cleveland activated receivers Ja’Marcus Bradley and Derrick Willies, as well as linebacker Montrel Meander, from the practice squad.

Here’s hoping all the Browns players stay healthy and safe.
