Kawhi Leonard forced out of Christmas day game after scary, bloody collision

Kawhi Leonard was forced out of the Clippers-Nuggets game when he suffered a mouth laceration after colliding with teammate Serge Ibaka.

Kawhi Leonard was forced out of the Clippers’ Christmas day game against the Nuggets after he collided with teammate Serge Ibaka, who leapt up for a rebound and caught Leonard in the face.

It was a scary moment for the former Finals MVP. According to ESPN, Leonard needed multiple stiches for the laceration, and video at the time showed blood pouring out of Leonard’s mouth.

Leonard still finished with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists in the Clippers’ win. You can see the incident below:

It’s unclear if Leonard entered any sort of concussion protocol, nor his timetable for his return. We hope he gets better quickly.
