James Harden talks: Steve Nash hasn’t discussed star with anyone recently

James Harden may still want to come to Brooklyn, but it appears the Nets have moved on from the idea of acquiring the Rockets star.

The seemingly neverending James Harden saga continues to take different twists and turns as Houston tries to figure out how to navigate this mess as John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Christian Wood and others try to help the franchise remain relevant in the loaded Western Conference. While it’s been reported by The Athletic that Houston is starting to think the superstar will stay with the Rockets, the same publication has also indicated Harden has added the Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics to the list of teams he’d like to enjoy — while Brooklyn remains among his desired landing spots.

Although ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting the Nets and Rockets have talked to the Rockets about Harden recently, Steve Nash told reporters on a Zoom before Friday’s game against the Celtics, “I haven’t had any conversations about him or any alerts.”

“We’re excited about the players we have,” Nash added.
