The Browns served up some bad tidings on Christmas Eve with the Thursday morning announcement that starting left tackle Jedrick Wills has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The timing of the move means Wills will likely not be in uniform when the Browns visit the New York Jets on Sunday. Head coach Kevin Stefanski did indicate there was some possibility for Wills to be active if he continues to test negative.
The Browns are already without starting right guard Wyatt Teller, and top reserve tackle Chris Hubbard was placed on injured reserve earlier this week after suffering a major knee injury in Week 15.
Kendall Lamm figures to take over for Wills against the Jets.
In addition to Wills, practice squad wide receiver Ryan Switzer was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
