Former University of Tennessee basketball player Grant Williams began his second season with the Boston Celtics Wednesday night.
The second-year small forward scored three points, pulled down one rebound and had an assist in the Celtics’ 122-121 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden.
He played 15 minutes against the Bucks, who had the top record in the NBA last year.
Williams, who was selected in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft, has been a role player for Boston since entering the league as the No. 22 overall pick.
He left Tennessee following his junior season as the two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.
