For the first time in 14 years, the University of Tennessee men’s basketball team has scored at least 100 points in back-to-back games.
The Volunteers boated a balanced attack en route to capturing a 102-66 victory over Saint Joseph’s Monday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.
UT (5-0), which crushed Tennessee Tech 103-49 Friday night on Rocky Top, had six players post double figures in the scoring column against the Hawks (0-5).
Victory Bailey Jr., a transfer from Oregon scored 18 points to lead the Vols’ potent and balanced offensive attack.
Santiago Vescovi added 16 points, while Yves Pons chipped in with 13. Keon Johnson had 12.
John Fulkerson and Jaden Springer finished with 12 points each for the Vols, who darted out to a fast start opening a 20-4 lead.
Pons pulled down nine rebounds while Vescovi and Josiah-Jordan James grabbed seven boards apiece.
The Volunteers return to action Wednesday afternoon when they host USC-Upstate at Thompson-Boling Arena.
Tipoff is slated for 5 p.m. EST.
