Colts’ Marcus Johnson (quad) ruled OUT vs. Texans

Marcus Johnson out with a quad injury.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marcus Johnson suffered a quadriceps injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the game against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

It isn’t clear when Johnson suffered the injury, but he was seen walking to the locker room during the first quarter. The injury was significant enough to be ruled out relatively quickly.

Johnson, a deep threat, was vital for the Colts during the middle of the season but has taken a back seat with the emergence of rookie Michael Pittman Jr. and the recent surge from T.Y. Hilton.

Johnson has 14 receptions for 255 yards, averaging 18.2 yards per catch this season.
