The San Francisco 49ers on Saturday announced a couple of tweaks to their roster ahead of their Week 15 showdown with the Dallas Cowboys.

Linebacker and special teams ace Mark Nzeocha was activated off Injured Reserve after going on the list with a quad injury following the 49ers’ Week 3 win over the Giants. His practice window opened on Dec. 2, and he’ll make his return vs. Dallas.

Three other players were elevated from the practice squad to replace the trio of 49ers on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Tight end Daniel Helm, and offensive linemen Dakoda Shepley and Isaiah Williams will be up to replace running back Austin Walter, offensive lineman Colton McKivitz and tight end Charlie Woerner.

Helm saw action in three games for the 49ers earlier this season, but it was all on special teams. Shepley was signed late in camp and has worked at center. Interior line depth is thin for San Francisco so Shepley could wind up seeing time at either center or guard. Williams was signed to the practice squad Wednesday. The 2016 undrafted free agent has spent time with seven other NFL teams and hasn’t made his NFL debut.
